The Central Area of Brevard County Parks and Recreation will offer the sixth annual Art on the Park on Earth Day, Friday, April 22 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Riverwalk Nature Center, located at 5355 US Hwy 1, in Rockledge. This environmentally themed sidewalk chalk-art contest is open to youth in grades K – 12 and is limited to 30 registrants. The 2011 theme is “People and the Indian River Lagoon.” There is no fee to enter and prizes will be awarded to the judges’ top choices in each age group:
Elementary (K-5)
Middle School (6-8)
High School (9-12).
One award will be given for People’s Choice, which will be determined by popular vote of the attending public.
