NASA History

Today, at KSC, the final solid rocket booster (SRB) will leave the building where it has been refurbished (ARF). The event takes place at 9 a.m. and yes, there will be a little ceremony and plenty of photos. Readers can see the story and photos in tomorrow's newspaper. Also taking place today, the external fuel tank (ET) for the final scheduled shuttle mission will emerge from it's transportation barge. What a momentous week for the KSC workers. I wonder how many of those watching these events today, are among the 1,100 United Space Alliance workers who lose their jobs Friday?
