With Nicole moving out to sea, the Space Coast is again back to business. However, the threat of rip currents always exists. In fact, 80% of all rescues performed by lifeguards involve rip currents. Annually, over 100 deaths are attributed to them. As with most things in life, knowledge is key. For a great explanation of rip currents, check out NOAA.
